Red Robin Films Ltd was founded by Isobel Drane and Kieran Lowley, who are known for their love of crafting intimate stories set within larger, genre-focused worlds.
We are known for creating the film ‘Hestia,’ a collaboration between SONY EUROPE and ourselves, with affiliation with ZEISS, BROADLEY STUDIOS and SUNBELT. A grounded Sci-Fi set in space, Hestia was the world’s first production to use Sony’s fully integrated Virtual Production technology stack, as well as one of the world’s first productions to use ZEISS’ new CinCraft Scenario tracking system.
Over the years we have developed relationships with some of the UK’s biggest production companies and studios, and the future of Red Robin Films lies in leveraging our strong relationships and partnerships to produce world-class feature films and TV shows.
Our work has been seen by millions of people all across the world, and we are now raising investment for our first commercial Feature Film, which stars AMBER DOIG-THORNE and has high merchandising potential. Kieran Lowley
Founder | Writer, Director, Producer
Kieran Lowley is a British writer, director, and producer known for crafting personal, character-driven stories within ambitious, expansive worlds. He co-founded Red Robin Films with his creative partner, Isobel Drane, where they specialize in blending narrative storytelling with cutting-edge virtual production. Lowley’s work includes Hestia (2024), Nightmare (2024), Game Over (2023), and See You In Hell (2023) — films that fuse psychological tension with striking visuals, often exploring characters trapped in heightened, surreal environments. His passion for using technology to shape narratives has driven him to experiment with a range of techniques, from real-time green screen virtual production (Game Over), to location-VP hybrids (Nightmare), and advanced LED volume shooting (Hestia with Sony Burano and the CLED Wall).
For Lowley, technology isn’t just a tool but a gateway to building intricate, cinematic worlds that stretch the limits of independent filmmaking. With each project, he continues to explore new ways to merge technical innovation with powerful storytelling.
